Bertie has not urinated since his operation (3 days) and doesn`t seem to be able to walk more than a few paces without sitting down. When he does walk he is tucking his back end under him near to the floor. He has been for his post op today and the vet tried to force him to urinate by pressing his bladder quite hard (made him cry). The vet wants me to take him back tomorrow and if he hasn`t wee`d by then he thinks there may be some sort of blockage and they are possibly going to try catheterising him. Up until now he still hasn`t "performed" except for a very small dribble. He is happy and doesn`t appear to be in pain. Has anyone else experienced this with their dog after an operation?
