Instead of unsubscribing from the emails, you should deactivate your account with the site, this would mean your profile on the dating site would no longer be visible to people.
Your details would be removed and you would stop getting emails from them, and protect your personal details should the site be hacked in any way.

I went onto the site and there was no option to deactivate the account. Alltgough there was never really "an account" as such. I never paid anything. No profile pic and no personnel info either.
