many years ago both mine forgot Mothers Day and I had no cards. The following year I sent myself a card - t'was the only one on the mantle shelf - they have never forgotten since then

I love Mother's Day more for the rest from chores for the day as oh looks after me. Today we were onsite so I had to get up and help pack up but had a relaxing afternoon and been out for tea. My son who hates craft made me a beautiful pink heart shape keepsake box at Beavers and my daughter made me a key ring and a lovely framed photo of the two of them - very happy

My own mum is no longer with us but we took her headstone a potted mixed flower plant and the kids have a nanny Mothering Sunday poem on a stake they added so maybe gone but not forgotten x
