My view is that any decent camp site should make it that when booking in should show that you have a mobile detector. That would be for all types of camping,tents caravans and motorhomes. Any type of camping is not cheap now a days. What is a few quid extra ro make every one safe even if you do take precautions
Why can't dealers of Caravans, Motor Homes and Boats fit a Carbon Monoxide Alarm when selling and stick the £20 on the price! Someone needs to do something, its so, so tragic every time this happens.
Hi, you can all help spread the word, which we have been doing for the past few years, by clicking on my signature and printing out the warning poster. Why not print a few extra and hand them out at Reception when you arrive on site, or dish them out to other campers.

Good ideas here for dealers to fit to all new units. Can users be relied upon to replace batteries. Also good idea for sites to insist on them when booking in the the recent deaths were not on sites, they were at a marina. Marina operators could easily take a similar initiative.
Very sad indeed. Investigators are looking along the lines of a faulty generator.

It seems to have been a BEKO oven that was the cause. Using the grill with the door closed gave off CO. BEKO had a recall on the ovens but 9thousand odd weren't returned.
