i was in Halfords yesterday and theyv got a great spanner set reduced from 99.95 to 49.95, i would LUV to open that on christmas morning, can never have enough tools.

also they had a car / bike electric polishing machine with various polishing heads on it - another - id luv to have.

i want some more metal pans for my induction hob. id love some of those delta pegs.

Wifey bought me a taxi ride on the Lancaster Just Jane at East Kirkby.

You have to book well in advance but it was well worth and I got to stand next to an old boy who had been a mid upper turret gunner in WW2 who was very interesting to talk to.

Hot air balloon ride.

I did it last year with the father-in-law, and even though I'm scared of heights, it was beautiful and peaceful at 1 mile up above York.

Takes about 2 hours including setting up and taking down.

We don't get gifts for each other as we have more than enough "stuff" already.

I like the idea of a bottle of his favourite tipple, or a restaurant voucher that you can enjoy together.

Otherwise.....is there anything you want for the house? We tend to get a big ticket item we want (not need), and that is our gift to each other. Or we ask the children to buy it.

This year we have asked for new pillows.

I had a flying lesson at Barton aerodrome quite a few years ago. One of the best experiences of my life. Also had an offroad day in Rossendale, that was fantastic too

I wish my wife would listen to me, I love DIY and like getting tools, I use everything I get, and it shows that people listen to me, because it is my main interest.
