Glad to help! Not sure if they are the same as guitars, but I took my guitar back to the shop because the action was too high. The shop said most of them are set up that way direct from the manufacturers and occasionally need the bridges altering. I would imagine a mandoline would be pretty similar.

Me....I describe myself as a frustrated musician...Love to sing but can't hold a note...Have tried to learn various instruments...But don't have the patience and fail miserably...
Every admiration for those folk who can pick up an instrument and entertain those around them in such an easy fashion...though from my own attempts realize the hard work that goes into that...
