Big market for pre 90s VWs these days . A freind of mine deals in classics & investments . He told me when looking for a modern classic. Think back to what the 40 to 50 year olds were driving when they were kids . This age group are likley to have disposable income & nostalgia sells. Mk1/2 Polo , Citeron Saxo , Puegot 106 , Mk1 Corsa & Nova , Are all good punts to buy now while still cheap. Sit on it for a few years & the price will rocket.

My oh has a williams Clio that stood in front of the garage for 5 yrs, he thought it was worthless, as a 'barn find' was worth a couple of thousand, he has since done some work on it and got it back on the road and has been offered about £6000 for it.
Good luck with it and enjoy it.
