Doesn't have to be your doctor, if you can, shop around, as 5 years ago, when my C category came up for renewal, my doctor was asking for £75, but a practice in the next town would do it for £30 (as my employer at the time told me) not bothering to renew this year though, as since I went 'semi-retired' I've not driven a wagon for nearly a year.
Thanks for that Gerry, as far as I know no problems with the medical side of things, it's just the eyesight in one eye, but it does look like there is an exception if you passed your test before Jan 1997, n had C1 on your licence. As usual with DVLA they don't make it easy to find this info. But really appreciate your advice.
