I second the Taylor's coffee bags. I drink black coffee and these suit me....and they're very handy.

Never use boiling water and let them sit for a few minutes

I tried a Brooke Bond coffee bag the other day. It produced black murky sludge with bits in and was not very nice at all!

The Mrs is relieved that during the course of this thread she’d gone from being a potential divorcee to merely having to wear a mask!

I stopped drinking coffee altogether some years ago when I was suffering from acute indigestion and cutting back on coffee cured it. I did smoke 30 a day back then which may have been a contributing factor in a minor way

Tried caffetiere’s with mixed results - it tends to depend on what mix you put in! Still have to dispose of the remains though and it can’t go in the composter because SWMBO would smell it and it would offend the royal nose!

I’ll have to give one of the pod things a go. I wonder if you can use a pod without a machine to see if you like the result?

Just got a Cafetière as a temporary measure with some Lewis and Cooper own blend ground coffee for now.
Hmm I need to juggle the amount of grounds to get the strength right but not at all bad for starters.

The Royal hooter didn’t pick up on the smell either when she got back from the shopping trip.

Got some Barrista Instant from Aldi as a fall back - they’ve got that back in stock in our local Aldi just now.

We have a nespresso but there is an aroma of coffee. When camping we have been using the Taylor's of Harrogate hot lava java bags for a few years now. We have to use two bags per mug but it is excellent stuff. A box of 30 bags is about 8 quid though...

Easy to use and clean, handy for home and camping? Try an Aeropress - easy for one or two cups, coffee grounds pop out into the bin, only extra waste is a tiny paper filter (you can replace with a metal one) , no wasteful plastic pods, just nice coffee...
