We do quite a lot of printing and over the years have tried all sorts of 'cheaper' compatible inks, none have measured up to http://www.cartridgemonkey.com/. Have used them for years and have always recommended them to family and friends
They seem to be good competitive prices for manufacturers' inks; but, for my printer, compatible inks are just about half the cost.
Have had this printer for 4 years with no problem using the cheapskate inks.
I do, however, appreciate that this is no so for many people.
