I would also put TV licence, car tax and MOT dates on your calendar, in case Dad forgets.

My father lived on his own for a while with mild dementia and I had power of attorney. I kept a very tight reign on all his accounts and managed to dodge quite a few charlatans. He eventually had to go into a home and then passed away at 93.
When he went into the home I of course finalised all his household bills and then double checked that there was nothing outstanding.
He was in the home 18 months and I have just received a bill from the electric company for 4 pence.
Hope they can whistle.

I'd be inclined to send them a cheque for 4p. It will cause them considerable inconvenience trying to bank it in this day and age, so they probably won't bother.

Our great grandchildren call us " The Greats", they couldn't pronounce "Majesty".

As for being taken advantage of, I have loitered outside ladies' changing rooms for years with no success.
