Anne Lennox is heading a campaign against the music industry saying that, todays music videos are full of sex and has nothing to do with the song.
She says younger people are influenced with what they see and are expected to act this way.
There is a lot of simulated sex on them and i for one agree with her.
Does it really take nudity and sexual references to sell a song theses days ?
Im glad my kids are grown up now and know all about the birds and the bees but,it must be embarrassing for a lot of parents out there watching these videos with kids at that age they know a little about sex.
So just to return to the OP's comments, I agree the sexualised videos so common these days should be age rated, and only shown post watershed. Sorry if that makes me seem prudish, but with young grandchildren, I worry about them being exposed to this stuff.
Whether it was around before or not is irrelevant, as a society we are supposed to be more aware of what is harmful these days. Look at cigarettes, once glamorised, now, with current knowledge, rejected by many as harmful, and advertising severely restricted to discourage kids from taking it up.
