I find it ironic that people dont want fireworks because it scares the dogs (i dont want fireworks either - but nothing to do with dogs). After fireworks, dogs must be the biggest cause of noise nuisance in any neighborhood. And its a hell of a lot more regular than fireworks. Owners seem oblivious to the annoyance they cause to others. Its on a par with smoking and bonfires.
If you tied the fireworks to the dogs you would get more silence. Sorted
My dog very rarely barks. Only time he does is when he's been shut out in the garden and he wants to come in, usually means the door's blown shut, or when the back door is shut with him inside and he's spotted a cat in the garden. He doesn't even bother with the door bell. Too lazy!
