i bought my current washer - a miele back in 2003 and its still going strong today without a breakdown yet. ( and so it shud for what it cost!!!) but as i live in a flat i wanted the quietest model they had and this one is whisper quiet and washes well. i like the timer thing where i set it the night before to come on at 6am and by time im up the 1st load has been done and ready to hang up to dry. it was also at the time the only washer to spin at 1800 so my clothes come out drier than before.
miele say that their machines are designed to last 20 years ( they keep the parts for that long to repair it ) - but having had mine for 9 so far, i thought the other day, its going to be soooo old and out of date - almost an antique by then lol - is that a good thing? - things will have moved on a lot in 20 years and ill have an antique washer that cost a fortune in its day to buy!.
I have a Samsung - its got a large washing capacity 1400 spin different programmes on a dial temperature spin buttons prewash mainwash and softening. childlock and delay switch all for £211.
Got more from this machine than I wanted - I would definately buy samsung again
