I posted about ebooks a few weeks ago (have tried to find the post but cant)
someone advised me to buy a disc from ebay which I have done (great books about 800)
The problem I am having is I can get them to my ereader a kobo but the writing is very small
does anyone know how to change the font from pdf or can anyone advise me

According to this site (scroll down to 'Notes') you can't change the font size on pdf files; you can zoom in on the page, but then you have to 'pan' across the page to read each line.
Google "Kobo font size" or "Kobo pdf font size" or similar to get various tips and advice.

Have you tried converting the PDF files to another format? I think the Kobo will read EPUB and MOBI files. Free converter available on line called Calibre, I use this to convert files to MOBI for my Kindle. Should then be able to increase the font size.
