We are off on monday for our first holiday on our own without the kids in 13 years can't wait it's only 3 nights but we do have a 10 month old and we haven't left him before. Lets see if my mother in law will cope with them both on her own So monday lincoln farm park in oxfordshire here we come. Some time alone p.s please don't rain every camping trip we have been on it rains.
Doesn't matter if it does rain you can huddle up together and be smug and dry.

13 years!!!!! we are going away in 2 weeks on our own for 2 nights for the first time in 2 years and we cant wait. love our little one to bits but will be great to get away for 2 nights. even if it is wet just make the most of it and even though i know we will try not to worry about the children.
Have a great time. We're sort of looking forward to 'heading for the hills' without the children, but when the time comes no doubt we'll approach it with mixed emotions.
It's been 16 years since we have have not had at least one of the children with us and have not holidayed or spent a night away without them. Reckon it'll be at least another 4 years yet before we reach that particular milestone.
