Hi Fenn,It was on road wars and "Cops"something or another.I love Scarborough we had friends that owned a pub in the south shore and that was great for free drinks lol.Anyway,What they showed was fighting and drunks outside one of the night clubs and i guess that goes on all over.Planning a trip back next year so might look you up.

Your certainly welcome back. Scarborough's lovely but as a local we do have a tendency to avoid holiday makers lol Just the same I suppose as people living in other holiday resorts.
we once had a holiday maker moaning on the cliff lift about this and that. when hubby made a comment about the said subject she turned round and said If it wasn't for people like her he would have a Job to which he replied madam your probly right I'm a psychatric nurse madam, to which the rest of the occupants where clapping and cheering
To Lancscampers - Well said! So very true. Yes, we have our problems, but who doesn't? Unfortunately they have chosen to film in Blackpool and not other 'seemingly' nice places. Believe me, they all have their social problems, even if they do have beautiful mountains and lakes ect !!!!
I have not been to Blackpool before last tuesday for around 10 years, I also watched the 999 programme and feared the worse, however we saw no trouble and had a very enjoyable day, we did leave around 7.00 pm and I would not wanted to be around into the evening or even at weekends when the stag and hen parties arrive, there are not many town centres I would want to be after dark in any case and issues covered in the programme I am sure happen on a regular basis in most areas of the UK.
