I thought they were supposed to target their advertising - I must have entered my details incorrectly as they have definitely got the wrong person!

It's pretty random in my view and research has show that facebook advertising doesn't actually really work.
I don't believe that facebook does actually make a profit from these random adverts. There is a lot on google about revenues. Little/nothing about profits.
When it floated it was valued at $66b. I use it but wouldn't invest in it.
Facebook's targeted advertising is not yet "ironed out" mainly because users keep telling each other what setting to change to avoid Facebook's "anti-privacy" policies to allow targeted advertising.
------------- It'll work out in the end!!!!
I didn't do it !! Nobody saw me do it !! You can't prove anything !!
A couple of years I got fed up with adverts on Facebook targeted at my "age" group. Most gave me the impression I was going to get ill, die soon, if not, be a burden to my family and generally leak, that I changed my year of birth. Amazing what difference it makes to the adverts. I seem more able to ignore them now because they don't annoy me.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
