A friend suffers with this and finds that the oil from a vitamn E capsule (pierce with a pin to squeeze it out) applied to her face at night helps. She also uses Nelson's Hypercal cream (from health food shops) as soon as it starts to flare up, and that seems to reduce the severity of it.

The Hypercal is brilliant for all sorts of things. She gave me some to try on my dog when he had itchy hot spots on his belly and it worked a treat. I've since used it on cuts, burns, spots and it really seems like magic stuff.

I think I am suffering from this too, not been to the docs yet, but have noticed red veins on my nose and chin and they seem to be getting worse.

Interesting about the low stomach acid as when I looked up the problems of red veins in 'you are what you eat book' it said that it was a cause.
