Anybody here make their own salt beef? I love it but its not easy to get in the shops so although its a palava better to make your own.

This time next week this batch will be ready and I'll have a homemade Reuben yum!

never done it myself although a local butcher will do it for you to order.

Up north here I've never seen it in a butchers only Sainsbury or Waitrose (other supermarket chains are available) but our local Sainsbury doesn't keep it and the nearest Waitrose is in Hull 120 miles away!
