Sorry to hear that. I had my kids vaccinated for tick borne encephalitis andl Lyme disease. We go to Lithuania a lot and both are rife there. I used to get the tbe jab when I lived back home in Scotland as deer ticks can be a pain when up the hills. I've been in Ireland for 6 years and haven't had to take a tick off the dog whereas living in Scotland and Lithuania I always found ticks.
I don't know if the Lyme vaccine is available in the UK. It isn't available everywhere.
