Well if it has to have a President I am happy with Julia. I will let you know what she is like after I have met her and had a chance to see what she does to promote the club.
She does look very good in leather trousers, which frankly,David Bellamy just didn't.
I'm not sure that the president actually has any duties, after all, even site managers just seem to ride around on a lawnmower all day. Perhaps she will be responsible for finding even boggier/bumpier pitches for those without a shiny new 'van.

they have made a utter mess of organising seasonal pitches for next year, also what is the point of having a seasonal pitch when you have to constantly put your awning up and down
I like JB she comes across as cheerful and engaging, much much better than that half wit Bellamy. My concern is that celebrity fees come out of membership fees and or profit, this money could / should be spent on improving the dated scruffy facilities on many sites. Old WW11 buildings and worn out flooring / tiling / plumbing are hardly representative of the increasing site charges members are faced with. The club really needs to sort member focussed improvements rather than celebrity fees.
I can't understand what benefits any celebrity can bring to something like camping and caravanning club sites to the average member.
They will have no say in the day to day running of the business, nor will they be able to implement change.
Surely we are not so shallow as to join a club because so and so celeb has his or her name attached to said club or believe that anything would be different if there were no celebs on the "board".

The fact that we are talking about her shows that it works.

Well not really we are only talking about her, not really saying its great to have her aboard. She will soon be forgotten but the point is still if her name attached to the CCC will actually make a difference.
Does it really make a difference to members having a celeb on the board.
Don't think it will have folks rushing to join or those not renewing their membership change their minds because of her.

We used to call a site manager Captain Kubota, we used to speculate he would need surgery to get the little tractor off his ass.
