Hiya everyone. We are taking our caravan in for storage this week. I just want to know,do you recomend covering it, someone has told hubby if you cover it,it can cause moisture to damage the seals on the roof. What are your views on this.
Many thanks joanne. x

Tried both. I'd prefer uncovered. Especially in storage. ------------- Steve

The vast majority of caravans spend their lives uncovered so covers not worth the effort/expense imho, although it does keep it clean so your choice. Wrong about damage to seals though, be pretty poor show if seals were damaged by a bit of water, wouldn't it?------------- Regards, Jack+Jon.

Covers can stop bird droppings and grit from accumulating on the paintwork and reduce black streaking. We have a tree on our drive next to the van so the cover stops it going green. If getting one get a protec or specialised.

Thank you Jack and Jon, looks like we will leave it uncovered. Are we best to take the water filter out, it's all drained.

We take our water filter out over winter. Belt and braces just in case there is a bit of water in the filter don't want it freezing and cracking the housing------------- Live life to the full you are a long time dead
