Thank your lucky stars and fingers cross that he doesn't start. I had a JR, she never barked. Only when someone should't be where they are.
Even when we acquired our Lassie, neither of the barked.
Neighboures never heard them.

I had my old rescue dog for 11 years and he rarely barked, he was happy, very waggy tail and a real character,
I miss him even though he has been gone nearly 3 years,
I wouldn't worry, like has been said he is still finding his feet
P.s. love the name Wilbur btw
------------- Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
I have had my rescue dog for four years and she rarely barks. She will bark if we are out on a walk and I am not paying too much attention to what is around me, and she see someone coming, a great plus. She only barks at home if she thinks someone is at the back of the house, not in our or our neighbours property.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
