Just booked a wash, cut, blowdry & highlights...all for £24 instead of £60. Never used Groupon before. Hope it's ok. Anybody use Groupon? Seems like there are some good offers.
Hiya, I use Groupon for certain things as they work out cheaper, but some things, although on the face of it look good value, a quick Google for a comparative and you will find the "deal" is not that good.
A ladder recently came up which I found cheaper elsewhere, a power charger unit for phones found cheaper elsewhere, etc.
But then you get your hotel overnight stays, track days, etc. and these are generally cheaper and you can bag a bargain.
Basically, if you see an offer, Google it first as you might find it cheaper or a better one for the money, elsewhere.
I've bought a few things through Groupon. My friend was using it before me and she bought a pamper day for two for £24 which she took me to as a thank you. It was brilliant, we had two treatments, which we could choose from a list, and lunch.
Theres good and bad, we've had restaurant vouchers and when we eventually managed to book (they always seemed full at weekends) we were told we couldn't order from the menu it was just a set meal, that to be honest was pretty cheap and not good value, but we 'could order off the full menu for £££ ' so some are just to get you into the places, definately check the deals online.
------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...
Remember though - Groupon is just the sales vehicle - it's probably the individual companies that need to be checked out. I suppose it's fair to day that some companies who aren't so good and the ones who need to use Groupon to get new business in. Still, I've never been disappointed.
Their rip off merchants you get vouchers for restaurants who then cancel but have taken your voucher money and groupon never refund just keep telling you they are looking into it
Just got back from having my Groupon hair cut & highlighted. Absolutely delighted. Jodie, the girl that did it was brilliant, she actually looked at the picture I took, several times to make sure it was how I wanted it. Every step of the way she asked if I was happy with it. I shall definitely go there again, even if I have to pay full price. Everyone was so friendly.
