I think a friend of mine just re-waxed her jacket. Don't know about washing it.

Nik Wax tech wash, wash on normal cycle, reload the machine after with re-proof. Tumble if you can.

NB, my latest coat just needs tech washing every few weeks and to re-proof once or twice a year.

1. ALWAYS clean the soap drawer of your machine scrupulously before you start. This is especially important if you use fabric conditioner.

2. Use the Nikwax Techwash detergent first. It's not that expensive and prepares the fabric perfectly to take the re-proofing solution.

Exactly what he said. Used Nikwax for years on garments and it works a treat.

I then tumble the jacket on the lowest heat on my dryer and that seals in the proofing nicely.
