Sounds a good crack! I used to look after chickens as part of my job as a part time gardener after I retired. The people I worked for had chickens. I don't know how long the OP will be away for but chickens tend to look after themselves providing the hopper is full of food and water is provided. Might be sick of eggs after awhile though
