it was a choice between this and this one
in the end I got the maplin one after reading the spec on Yales web site and it was £150 in argos and it being sold secure silver ( which doesn't mean much after watching vid's on sold secure gold bike locks and chains that were broken into after 30 seconds or so)
and it was Armoured steel also

One of my daughters uses a fireproof document box to keep her valubles and hard earned qualification certificates in, they weigh a ton, unless the teenagers were proffesional weight lifters there would be no chance of bouncing one of those up and down!
Available from most good stationary retailers, Staples, Rymans, WHS, ect. And because they are fireproof, the thick heavy walls prevent any smart assed kid from trying to cut into them through the sides or door, cost around £80 to £150, depending on size and quality.

Not true as you bounce the solenoid by hitting the safe. A lot of the sentry fire safe products have extremely poor backup locks you can open with card board or a biro and some widely available knowledge.
