It's a full moon on Christmas Day night and it just occurred to me that the carol 'Good King Wensless Last Looked Out' must have been written on a full moon...
'Brightly shone the moon that night
Though the frost was crew-ell
When an old man came in sight
Gathering winter few - ooh - ell'
'Hither page and stand by me...' etc! I think it's actually full tonight, and clear as crystal from where I'm sitting - but it will still be impressive tomorrow, if it's visible through the rainclouds! <gulp> Good luck, folks...

The full moon was very impressive.

We saw the beautiful moon last night here in Lancs. No sign tonight, rain covereth all.
We had a child with a new bike here today, no chance of going out though.

Nah! Never!! It was always Wensless Last Looked Out when I was a kid. They must have changed the words. You'll be telling me next that it's not 'While Shepherds Washed Their Socks by Night'
