Be Careful. Interesting debate on Radio Scotland the other day which kind a got me concerned. When going abroad we all need Medical Insurance which is usually done when booking your holiday. What I found concerning is if you have a alcohol related accident your cover can become void due to alcohol being the cause of the injury. Blood test's shall be required on arrival at the hospital to determine the amount of alcohol in your system and then it is more or less up to the discretion of the Medical Insurance Company in deciding if you will be treated. Check the small print as many have failed in gaining treatment even though they thought they were covered. You could trip after one glass of wine or be totally out your face falling down. I shall be going to a Broker in future especially when Wee Smeesh is going on his first Boys Trip this year....

There are lots of cases dealt with by the insurance ombudsman where the ins co has been made to pay out because they failed to prove that alcohol was the cause of the accident.
