in conversation today the blue and white minimum speed signs were mentioned have any of you seen any of these I have been driving for 50years without seeing one

Plenty in Portugal on motorways. They are used to stop wagons using the outside lane on uphill sections.

I've also seen them years ago in roadworks in the UK.

The reality is in most of the UK keeping minimum speeds 24-7 is impossible. Eevry time there is a queue everyone is liable to a fine!

There is also a minimum speed requirement in the Mont Blanc tunnel.

the conversation started when my 32year old twin sons passed there m/bike theory test this was the only question on both tests they both have been driving for 15years all over GB and N Ireland and never seen one

I don't think you will see any minimum speed signs in Edinburgh.
The city council will shortly reduce all city speed limits to 20MPH.
Go any slower and you'll be quicker on foot.
