Bit of a random one for you all. Just discovered a family of baby mice living in the garage at work. Due to various health and safety issues I won't go into they can't stay. However I am a soft touch and don't want to go down the poison route. They are too little to fend for themselves yet. Any ideas what I could do with them? Would an animal charity be likely to take them in or is there a good way to rehome them without causing too much upset?
I doubt that an animal charity would take them but there'd be no harm in asking one - don't bother with the RSPCA, they're useless. The only thing I can suggest is if you can trap them in a humane trap - over ripe banana is good bait - then you could relocate them to a hedgerow in a field somewhere and keep your fingers crossed that they survive.

I spoke to an animal charity. They said not to move them because they'll die. They did suggest that if I disturb the garage a lot by moving things around, mum mouse might decide it's unsafe and move the family out. Will monitor over the next couple of days. They've not moved out i'll get a humane trap for them and sort something out
