Most owners do care about their cats, it's just the nature of cats to go out and entertain themselves using their natural behaviour unfortunately. I didn't have cats untill 2 of my neighbours moggies decided they wanted to live with me when she got a dog. I'd spent 5 years chasing them out of my garden but it never did any good .
I would be very upset if you 'dealt with' my cats or any other animal willy nilly for that matter. What's to stop you moving on and 'dealing with' people who annoy you?????
If I see a cat in my garden he is shooed away, my dog sometimes joins in but if the truth was known if the cat stood its ground, he would turn on his heels and leg it!
Sorry, but I don't like domestic cats at all, they are the biggest threat to songbirds there is.........I prefer birds, why do you think you only see corvids and pigeons.
I'm not a cat lover myself even though we have a cat, he stays indoors though as we live too close to the road and the wife doesn't want him to end up pizza shaped like his brother was.
My back and other backs around me are patrolled by cats, I still hear songbirds, wonder why?
Must say though if I ever saw anyone being cruel to any creature, the conversation would be one way and end in tears.
Domestic cats are no different from the Big Cats, yes they crap in your garden, so would big cats (not sure but never seen cat loo's in the area's they live, though I might be wrong) but then so did we until loo's were invented and we evolved. Maybe we should petition our councils for outdoor cat litter trays to be put in everyone's back garden. Also dog loo's, everyone to have a covered garden for bird dropping's.
Or just accept it is the way of all animals. Want to stop them using your garden as a loo, do something about it, it is easy enough to do. Google, don't ask me.
Corvidae is a cosmopolitan family of oscine passerine birds that contains the crows, ravens, rooks, jackdaws, jays, magpies, treepies, choughs, and nutcrackers.
In common English, they are known as the crow family, or, more technically, corvids. Over 120 species are described. The genus Corvus, including the jackdaws, crows, and ravens, makes up over a third of the entire family.
------------- In the beginning there was darkness.
Then I bought a tent.
I'm not destitute, I'm just poor.

Corvids Explained:-

Thanks for that James, sorry but that is what call them.

I do not recall anyone asking you.
And your problem is? as you always have one with my posts.
All I was doing was giving my opinion, you do not have to like it just walk on by. You do seem to front up to me a lot. I will not bite back. Have a nice day.

These owners don't care. I already brought it up with them and got a shrug and a 'that's what cats do' thing. Cat people can be like that, not caring of anything except their cats. Not all of course, just some. Even a little bell around their neck would give the wildlife more of a chance
As to people - well if they invade my property, damage it and kill wildlife then there is nothing to stop me dealing with them but fortunately we have a police force who should/might help with that
I'm afraid my neighbour's cats get chased out and occasionally sprayed with water (although I really didn't see the one underneath the car when I was pressure washing all the muck off it the other day). Maybe I was spoiled by the stray cat that adopted us many years, he would only bring back live prey, and I was able to rescue most. One of the neighbour's cats has generally got the message and disappears rapidly if one of us appears but the other is a real pain and very aggressive.
I love having the wildlife and having hedgehogs is fantastic - this place is slug and snail heaven and they, along with the thrushes do a great job.
