I recently bought something and paid by PayPal. There were enough funds in the account to cover the item but the funds were taken from my bank rather than the PayPal account. Does anyone know why?
Many thanks

I 'thinks' you need tp specify where funds come from (& check occasionally) I had 2 payments out my bank account instead of my cc & when I checked the first it was because the cc was out of date (I'd got a new card)

I updated it but another payment went out because the 'defaults' had been changed to bank account - so I changed it back - all ok now!!

So basically check the default :)

If you chose to pay item from your Paypal balance it should have done so.
If you did not click the button to pay from Paypal balance, it may well have defaulted to bank account payment?
There is a change method of payment choice just before you pay.

I didn't realise that, it must have changed. Historically it only came out the bank if there was no money in the PayPal account.
Thanks
