Work takes me from Workington down to Barrow today, so as usual I have stopped half way at Bootle Beach for a coffee break.
The Red Flags are flying, and about every 20 minutes there is a loud Crack and Whoosh, followed by a Huge Splash about 1 mike out to sea, 15 seconds later you hear the Boom, with air pressure wave.
All quite surreal, temp is 18Deg C, clear blue sky and the sun is shining.
The sea is like a mill pond, and not a soul on the beach.
As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Whitehaven to Barrow.....ah yes beutiful drive on one of them good days. That is my home area, would love to go back but couldn't cope with the weather I've gone like these stofties down here in Brighton.
Yep, Itsme53 the road hugs the coast almost all the way, the views of Sellafield or Windscale as I remember it, Nuclear Power station are quite dramatic, but what I really noticed more than usual was the vast number of Wind Farm Turbines out to sea.
