Varies with what the owners provide and the design of the unit. No hard & fast rule. Basically, think "tent" but not packing it up after a wet weekend.
Caravan club glamping pod with the bathroom was fabulous. I don't think the airstream was worth the extra money when we had a nosy but, we have yet to try it. The basic hut looked good
I've used a shepherd's hut (at Rynys) and it had power and a little woodburner in it that threw out the heat and made the place toasty warm. I found it very cosy. The cooking facilities and fridge were in a little end porch which was under cover but outside the stable-style door; don't know how that compares to other huts. Where that particular one is, it's almost like being in a tree house; you look out into the branches of the surrounding trees as it's up at the top of the site.
I've used a pod too (Fishguard Bay resort, with a sea view), which I fancy had more floor area, was nice and light (though with less character) and had a fridge, kettle and tv supplied, but no cooking facilities and none allowed inside. In both, you had to go and use the site facilities, they weren't en suite. In general I'd say pod = bit lighter and more elbow room, hut = more cute and cosy. For either, in spring, autumn or winter it's a treat to arrive and just have to set your bedding up, also to avoid having a wet tent to deal with when you leave.
I visited a friend staying in a shepherd’s hut, it had a wood burner and was very cosy.
It had the door in the middle of the long side, a double bed at each end and the wood burner in the middle with plenty of space to sit looking out of the glass ‘French windows’.
We've used pods in various configurations and a couple of log cabin type things. All have been amply cosy. I reckon your choice should be more about layout and whether you want en-suite facilities or are happy to use a shower/toilet block.
If I had the cash spare I'd go and stay in this which I've seen round and is absolutely lovely.

Yes, I saw that on a site I was browsing. Not so keen on the off grid aspect at this time of year.
