Similar to the BT scam doing the rounds.

Email informing me that my details need to be updated.
The layout did appear to be the same as Virgin media's.

Virgin media confirmed that it was a scam.

If I posted a new thread on here every time I get a scam email my post rate would be in the thousands!

I average between 10 and 30 a day. Chasing each company to confirm it is a scam would be a full time job.
