55? Part timer! Nothing to thank you for. (were you a fireman?)
No, a policeman...spat at, abused, called names, threatened, attacked, risked my life most days from old ladies armed with brollies who didn't want to be taken across the road...and didn't even get a Knighthood!!
Graham - Find a way of getting food from farms (you missed the factories, so I'm assuming you expect people to butcher a full cow in their own kitchen) to 67 million people without trucks AND maintaining Covid protocols. Good luck with that one!!:-)
Anyway, I'm just off to China to buy one bottle of soy sauce !!!

My point was; its all right having trucks, but if no farms were producing the food, the trucks (in the one i mentions case - shuttling food) is redundant. He was the one blowing his own trumpet - essentially having us see him (or trucks) as saving the world. I was just pointing out that theres more than him 'saving us' in this crisis. And hes only doing his job at the end of the day - like 1000's of others.
On the soy sauce expedition; will you be flying or sailing? You get my point!
