My daughter is applying for teaching jobs in Europe.
She has heard, I don’t know how, that UK teachers in Europe are having their contracts cancelled.
Anybody know anyone teaching in the EU?
Surely this will be a temporary thing while they get some sort of work permit.
She has booked flight home from Bangkok, on 10th April, via Dubai.
That is not happening b cause UAE now on the Red List.
KLM are being obstructive so via Amsterdam may not be an option.

My understanding is that professional qualifications are no longer recognised between the UK and the EU.
There might also be a question of work permits etc.

My friend's daughter has been teaching English in Spain for a couple of years and has taken out a residency permit.

About 20 years ago (maybe a bit longer ago than that) Spain changed its rulings on teachers due to the number of unqualified people setting up language schools, my wife who was teacher trained in Spain for primary teaching did a year here in uk to become a senior school language teacher.

At the time we were considering moving to Spain but she was told she could teach primary but they wouldn't recognise senior qualification and would have to do a year long course in Spain (she would have been allowed to work while doing the course)
