Started to feel unwell on Sunday, and tested negative for 2 days on LFTs; however, I tested positive today, boo hoo!
It is like having a very bad cold, however, not as bad as flu, as I could not get out of bed when I had flu and lost my appetite!
Still have an appetite, and my sense of taste and smell do not appear to be affected so far.
Cancelled all the social and non-work appointments until Sunday.
Good job I work from home!
A number of my drinking pals who went to a local pub during the weekend also tested positive - we are calling that Ground Zero or Covid Central!

Take good care of yourself, I am now day 10, and feeling very fatigued. I am normally a very active, hiking, fishing, logging, bush camping type of bloke, more like watch daytime TV at the moment. I hope this does not go on for too long.
I felt really rough this morning when I got up, however, felt better as the day progressed especially after a kip.

I have several friends who have caught omicron. None know where they caught it. All are triple vaccinated. All wear masks, all take care.
All of them have fatigue that lasted long after the negative test result.
Look after yourself, DK. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I'm on day 8. Double jabbed & boosted. Day 2 to 4 were the worst. Killer sore throat & fatigue. Feel pretty normal now but still positive. Probably caught it at the outdoor shop I work at part-time. Fewer customers wearing masks & up close when doing boot fitting.
Hopefully you'll have a speedy recovery. I think omicron is so infectious you can catch it just by thinking about it. One of my ultra careful friends caught it - she was so scared she barely left the house and was always suited and booted and didn't linger when she had to go out. Like me her symptoms were cold-like and didn't last too long.
I'm on day 5. Sat 26th feb, we went for a 8 mile walk around our local coastline. In the evening I started aching and headache. Took test and was positive & confirmed by PCR test on Monday. I find the cough is the worst bit of it. So glad I got triple jabbed as it could have been so much worse with all my health issues and my age. Get well soon dk.x and everyone else who has it too,and that includes me.
It a weird thing, I had no real cough, no sore throat or no temperature. Just a cold and a feeling of general grottyness, but it has left me feeling tired.
I am now negative, so just hope this fatigue does not hang around to long.
Day 2 +ve on a LFT (I thought I should just double check), however, I feel better compared with yesterday morning. Being able to sleep better last night might have helped.
Got an e-mail asking if I would like to participate in the Panoramic trial to evaluate the effectiveness of an antiviral drug for those confirmed with Covid.
I applied as I ticked all the boxes, and have not received a phone call to discuss any further. I suspect my symptoms are so light that I may not be any good to them as a trial subject.
Appetite is still good, so I can't be that unwell!
