I have recently purchased a Tom Tom Go Camper Max (7 inch screen) and would like a longer mount arm or air vent grille mount to put the Sat Nav closer as I have a deep rake to the car windscreen and it’s difficult to reach.
I have searched the Tom Tom site and other accessory links but can’t find any offering for the Camper Max?
I don’t want to stick any adhesive pad mounts to the dash to take the standard mount as it will likely mark the dash when I remove the pad for when I change the vehicle?
Has anyone been able to find an alternative?
Thanks

I've got the same problem with my car, the bottom of the windscreen is way out of my reach, even if I lean on the steering wheel!

I got one of these style weighted/non-slip 'plates' that just sits on the dash, no adhesive, just friction holding it in place, and it doesn't budge at all in use. Great for easily removing Sat Nav out of site when parking car, and just plonking back in place when needed.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sat-Nav-Pad-Universal-Anti-Slip-Holder-Car-Dashboard-Mo........

The link is just the first of the type I found, may be cheaper ones out there.

ive had friction mounts before but if you have to brake in an emergency they will fail. I reverted to sticking the disk mounts to the dash and leaving it on the vehicle when selling it in my mind most people nowdays want to use either a satnav or a mobile phone on the dash, never had anyone complain about having one permenantly stuck down

Thanks Cliffbrown.
Your right , I ordered the mat type and it would t even support the weight of the Go Camper Max with the car stationary ?
I am looking to see if I can adapt an extension windscreen mount as cannit seem to find a Tom To
offering that fits the Go Camper Max?
I do not want to stick a plate type to the top of the dash on the car in case it marks it on removal .(Range Rover) has a good Sat Nav anyway and place for a mobile phone .so a prospective purchaser or garage might use this as a negative to the trade in if I were to leave the plate on or try to take it off and mark the dashboard ?

I have a Garmin camper 760 as well as the suction mount it came with a mount to screw to the dashboard, which is even more obtrusive.

How old is the vehicle going to be when you sell it? I have resin-glued my mount base to the dash on my 3 year old truck. Its the only place i could properly use and see it. It might be 5-6 when i swap it, and im pretty sure it wont even figure in its resale price.
