Same thing, aren’t they? The Oz ones are “heat bead BBQ briquettes”.
I’d buy what’s available locally and / or cheaper. Then try the other when that bag is done. See what suits your type of cooking better.
The Australian hear beads are far superior to the rubbish we get dished up at local supermarkets. We have a small Weber and when we have a BBQ after cooking I close up the vents and put the lid on to starve the fire of oxygen. We are then able to use the same briquettes for the next BBQ along with some fresh ones. One packet can last us a long time and we BBQ often.

Nope.
Weber are good, but heat beads are better.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Don't know as I only ever buy 5kg bags of briquettes from supermarkets and they work fine with solid fire lighters all these years.

Yes they work fine, but you probably cannot reuse them again as described in my previous post therefore having to replace the supermarket bag more often.

I don't BBQ that often nowadays when I go camping nowadays. The conditions have to be right, reads: nice weather with low winds.
With the Cobb, I only have space for 12 pieces; therefore, using half old and half new ones would be a faff for the need to keep the old ones separately.
