Just came back from a Week's Holiday in County Dublin .
Thursday 22nd to 29th September
Travelled ,From Holyhead 14:10hrs to Dublin .
On Irish Ferries .
Outward journey on the Ulysses Ferry .
Approximately 3 Hours trip .
We booked a Cabin with Porthole view .
Provided with two single beds and Lounge seat +Toilet shower provided
Very welcomeing as I had a couple hours sleep
Having to get
up Early 6am
and a 3 Hour Drive from Cheshire via A556 and Torrential downpour of rain In North Wales on A55 & A5 to Anglesey Holyhead .
After the Sailing trip across The Irish Sea.
Arrived on Time In Dublin Port 17:50 Hrs .
Offloaded by 18:00 hrs Along the Quayside road route .
Then approached The M1 Tunnel to Avoid Dublin Rush hour Traffic .
Where we had to Pay the Toll 10 Euros .
Followed the M1 Route to Swords North Dublin .
To Our Apartments for the week
At Roganstown .
Arrived at Before 19:00 hrs
Keys provide in Coded Key safe
And Offloaded all Luggage .
Then Evening meal ,watch TV
Then A nice Peaceful nights Rest
After a Long Day .

I’m sure you enjoyed Dublin. There’s such great craic in the bars, and the mussels in a cheese sauce are delicious - ours came in an (unused) paint tin, very generous portion. The Guinness is superior too.
I took a group of students there long ago, the Czech girl was smitten with the dancing: someone had given her a CD of Riverdance but she didn’t realise that what sounded like drumming was actually dancing on boards. She was actually moved to tears, wee soul.

County Dublin Has a lot to Offer
Regards to days out and trips to Swords ,Malahide Portmarnock
Bray ,Howth and Sutton and Bit further out
Wicklow .
Part 2
Our second day ,we drove onto M1 & M50 (Heavy daytime traffic bit like a racetrack) Dublin Motorways to Lucan in the West of Dublin .
To a Wedding
The Venue was at a very Posh 5 star hotel
a lovely afternoon Reception
Met All the Dublin people attending ,all very Friendly .
Then Into the Bar for Drinks and convivial chat .
Then Invited into the Main Reception room to Witness a Celtic Marriage .
All went well .
Then Celebration Drinks and Three course meal .
Then Retired to Lounge Room
To listen to A Local Musician
Who Also does Busking in Henry Street in Dublin
Who Sang Folk and Irish Songs
very entertaining .
As I Play the Guitar
I fancied a bash
The Local singer set me up
Amplifier and Microphone .
So I went into my Repertoire of Songs .
Went back into the Past .
And Played Elvis's,
'American Trilogy'
And Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire "
also Ricky Nelson's 'Hello Mary Lou
a couple of Don Gibson's songs also
Haveing caught the Audiences Attention .
I Decided to play some Old 'Rock and Roll'
A Medley of Same 3 Chords Similar Rock Rhythm.
Mean Woman Blues, Blue Suede Shoes ,Whole lot of Shakin going on and Matchbox and Others .
I Thoroughly Enjoyed myself .
And Got a lot of Complements .
Then Later A Late night Disco till 2am In the Morning .
We all went to our Hotel Room for a well Earned rest .
It Was Certainly a Memorable Day .
Especially for the Bride and Groom .
Glad
to have stayed the Night /Morning at this lovely Hotel .
