I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is fed up with bad news on the TV, in the papers etc... Well, we've got our bags packed and are off to Vienna for a winter break and not watch TV.
This was all planned ages ago, but we had to cancel at the last minute due to Covid. At least we got all our money back, and tucked it away till we could go, so this holiday is paid for.
Travel times aren't very convenient since British Airways cancelled a load of flights, but we're going anyway, Aberdeen - Heathrow - Vienna.
Hope there are some good Christmas markets to browse as well as the museums and art galleries - and Mrs. L wants to do some clothes shopping in C&A.

We should be on a cruise at the moment but my wife had a fall,breaking her ankle and collarbone She is on the mend. I am keeping busy!
Holiday insurance claims signed and stamped by the hospital and will be posted tomorrow.They have told us we will get our money back less a small admin fee.
A booking will be redone once she is better.

Coming up 15 years of not watching, listening or reading the news ( it’s all rubber stamped anyway ) Of course I know certain things that are going on that’s inevitable but let me tell you, they say that ignorance is bliss and I can confirm it most certainly is !!
I set anyone a challenge…Just try and avoid the news for one day and see how hard it is !

Have a great time. We went to Vienna a few years ago and really enjoyed the few days we had. Don't forget to take a look at Prater Park and the "Harry Lime" ferris wheel.
You should enjoy Vienna, lovely city, been a couple of times on our caravan and motorhome travels. Agree about the Prater, easy to get top on the U-Bahn.

Thanks for the good wishes. I've been to Vienna before and taken a turn round on the Ferris wheel. I've booked a hotel that we've used before and is convenient for the city centre, restaurants and shops (on foot).
