We were adopted by a wee Dachshund/Jack Russel Cross. She is a funny wee thing and will be 7 this year. She has never been a problem and gave our lab an extra few years of life.
My daughter adopted a dog in Thailand and took him to Canada. Turned out he had a tumour and passed away on Christmas day. We were all devastated but happy that she and her partner had given him a good life He was less than a year old.
Canadian vet fees are extortionate. We all helped but had to do a go fund me to pay it all. The vets were very good though. My daughter grew up with dogs and is now volunteering at a shelter. She is looking for another.
