I've recently bought a nissan elgrand 7 seater and a olpro cocoon drive away awning. When booking a pitch do book i pitch for a campervan or just a tent pitch for car to be along side?
Whichever suits, I’d say. Some sites charge extra for an awning, some don’t. If they do charge, go the car & tent option as that’ll be cheaper than the campervan - but you’ll probably be on grass. Car plus awning is an option too - one of the clubs has recently introduced a Roof Tent option, for example.
If in doubt, ask the site.
I'm going to look at an Elgrand today - what do you think of it? My only concern is the mpg it may prove very expensive to run, also it's a bit low to the ground )I live in area with many speedbumps)
I have 4wd version with the 2.5 v6. It is a bit thirsty but thinking of lpg in the future. I'd say about 28-30 mpg. I've had no problems so far with ground clearance. Great car for getting everyone and everything in.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
