Lovely looking dog indeed, whenever I take those sorts of photos of my Collie she looks bloody terrifying! - the eyes are wide and staring at a 'target' (it's a Collie thing!), the lips are curled back and an awful lot of teeth showing, it's no wonder people flinch when they see her running towards them, I know she's a softy, but the 'look' would suggest otherwise!

I know just what you mean as I've had a Collie too. At first my young grandchildren were terrified of him as he always barked at them when they came into the house and he stared at them. Eventually though they realised that to him kids meant a game, and his barking was just his way of saying "come and play". Once they realised that though they had a whale of a time playing together, and he was as gentle as a lamb with them.
