Destroyed our motor mover and smashed the microwave plate to smithereens. Mover rubbing on the tyre on a 90.mile drive. We are at a CL in Pembrokeshire ATM, as far from home as we are going this time. Also damaged the back of the caravan trying to drive in the wrong entrance to a site. My fault for not asking apparently.
Having been in France for last month it's noticeable how much better the roads are. Some lumpy bits in towns and big speed ramps but generally way better.
We know when we get back, busier roads and verges of motorway lined with rubbish
No VED but petrol is a bit more. Of course you don't have to use toll autoroutes.

Oh dear, you could do without that. At least it seems the tyre isn't damaged, that would have been even more expense. Hope the back of the caravan isn't too badly damaged.

Oh dear, that's no doubt put a downer on the start of your hols! Hope you can get it sorted out without huge expense.
Glad you’re getting sorted.
If it isn’t potholes, it’s the reverse potholes which seem increasingly common on Club sites - speed humps are so noisy in a MH with stuff clattering in the cupboards & oven etc & the dog gets jolted in her crate. I appreciate they’re to stop speeding but I defy anyone to go as fast as regulation 5mph over them. At least you can usually see them, unlike potholes on flooded roads.

We couldn't actually get on the site as it is being renovated. The owner, who was away, said that we could use the yard, which has ehu and water. He didn't mention that there is an entrance to his house and then a second to the yard. Saw the house name, thought (from looking on street view) that it was the correct entrance. Also a very narrow road. Only 2 sites near Bridgend, the other had trees in the wrong place for OH's precious satellite TV

Oh dear! Hope it is all sorted, at least for you to be able to get back home!
