Sadly, a sign of the times that Banks don't like communicating 'face to face' with customers, so (no doubt AI influenced!!!) 'chat' features on their web sites seem to be the last resort of many customers!
If you are lucky, a human monitors conversations and introduces a 'modicum' of real knowledge and advise! Desperate levels and all that, but last resort of the despairing customer!!!

I've found asking to speak to "an agent" or "a human" can trigger transfer to a real person.

My daughter was once in the options part of the Barclays system when she muttered "b.....r off" and was promptly put through to a human lol.
