We broke our journey to Portsmouth, for the ferry to France for our 5 week trip, overnight on Tuesday.
When we unhitched the caravan, bits of the Alko front pad fell onto the ground.
The next morning we phoned Spinney Caravans, Warwick (previously Broad Lane Leisure) - about 10 miles away and not far out of the way of our onward journey - and not only did they have the part, which they kept for us, they agreed to have someone available to fit it for us on arrival, so that we could carry on and still be on time for our ferry.
Within half an hour of arriving, we were on our way again. We were so relieved, and so grateful to the staff at Spinney caravans for all their help.
We cannot sing their praises highly enough.
I was actually born in Sussex, Welsh mother, Scottish father who met in ww2. They had to move to near Huntingdon when I was a baby. We moved to Warwickshire when I was 8. 3 years at college in Wrexham, then London for work. OH is from Donegal. We moved to Luton for affordable housing.
That was in 1975, it was indeed affordable compared to London. We have lived in the same house for 50.years.Toyed with the idea of moving to South Wales but never quite made it.
